It is my pleasure to invite you to join the New Zealand Taiwan Business Council's 2026 Trade & Investment Mission to Taiwan, taking place from 10–15 September 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Taiwan is experiencing its strongest economic growth in 50 years on the back of the global AI boom, creating significant opportunities for New Zealand companies across food & beverage, agritech, health technologies, renewable energy, digital innovation, education and many other sectors.

Our 2026 Trade & Investment Mission to Taiwan will provide delegates with valuable market insights, high-level networking opportunities and meaningful business connections. A key highlight will be the Joint Business Councils Meeting with the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), to be held on the morning of 11 September at The Regent Hotel, Taipei. This event will bring together business leaders from New Zealand and Taiwan to explore new opportunities for trade, investment and collaboration, while reinforcing the strong relationship between our two business communities.

In the afternoon session following the Joint Business Councils Meeting, delegates will have the opportunity to engage with potential clients, customers and investors at our New Zealand Showcase and Business Forum. There will be an opportunity to display your company's products and information to a highly engaged audience.

Beyond the formal programme, the mission also provides the chance to experience Taiwan's renowned hospitality, vibrant culture and world-class cuisine through our curated packages.

Market Visits hosted by CIECA on Monday morning 14 September 2026.
All meeting and market visit expenses in Taiwan will be met by CIECA Taiwan, apart from the exhibition fee at the New Zealand Showcase and Business Forum.
New Zealand delegates are responsible for their own air travel, accommodation and other expenses outside the pre-arranged meetings and market visits.
The NZ Taiwan Business Council has curated three optional accommodation and activity packages for delegates who wish to indulge in the full Taiwan experience.

Chris Tse

Chris is the Executive Director of Apexfresh, a trade and export marketing consultancy with a proven track record in New Zealand-Taiwan business. He has over 30 years experience operating across the agriculture, healthcare and investment sectors. Chris is the current Chair of the New Zealand Taiwan Business Council.

Richard Lee

As the founder of Olive Black Trading Limited, Richard has built an award-winning export brand that is synonymous with premium New Zealand olive oil. His first hand knowledge of the Taiwan market makes him a valuable asset for mission delegates looking to navigate cross-cultural business opportunities.

Helen Chiang

Helen has more than 20 years of experience across private banking, relationship management and international business, She has worked alongside business owners, private clients and organisations in New Zealand and Taiwan, with a special emphasis on connecting people, opportunities and ideas across cultures, industries and borders.
